Enhabit is a non-profit dedicated to catalyzing the multiple benefits of better homes. We partner with homeowners, local governments, utilities and community groups to increase access to home upgrades – ensuring homes are more energy efficient, healthier and more resilient. We measure the success of our work through immediate benefits to homeowners and lasting results for communities. We work on homes because homes matter to people – for their health, security, comfort, education, resilience, financial stability, pride and joy. Our mission to advance this good work is grounded in a clear vision of transforming communities by transforming homes.
Pacific Northwest governments, utilities and community organizations seek Enhabit’s nimble, responsive approach to address the complex challenges facing forward-thinking communities. With a focus on energy, climate, health and neighborhood stability, Enhabit’s programs address a powerful leverage point — the home. The results advance multiple public policy goals for local governments, and measurable community benefits for all citizens.
Enhabit’s tools and technology deliver measurable results: Energy efficiency and carbon reduction targets, citizen engagement, workforce diversity and equity goals, product, service or policies brought to market.
We identify, develop and support quality contractors. Our centralized project management platform creates efficiencies for contractors and partners, with customized, one-stop access to all customer project details and technical specifications.
Meeting customers where they are, we respond to individual needs. By leveraging multiple, ‘high-touch’ communication channels, we drive program participation to deliver public benefits to residents.
A centralized data capture platform includes detailed home data and tools that analyze the effectiveness of program goals and objectives. This includes using the HPXML data standard for effectively tracking residential energy efficiency upgrades, measures, and costs.
We develop innovative financial solutions for residential retrofits. Easy-to-access financing options help residents go solar, make energy efficiency upgrades, or implement seismic retrofits, radon mitigation, and other measures aimed at improving their homes.
Enhabit has extensive experience performing QA/QC and measuring customer satisfaction for energy-efficient upgrades. We can quickly leverage and turn on robust Quality Oversight and contractor dispute resolution procedures in the field.
Our partnership with Enhabit is an important next step in the evolution of Ashland’s energy efficiency services for our utility customers.
One of the things I’ve always appreciated about the organization is the innovation and willingness to try different things.
Enhabit has a creative interest in new program ideas – approaches beyond what traditional utilities have offered, and an entrepreneurial spirit in outreach, with a focus on a single family whole home approach. The organization’s strength lies in pulling together various resources that are better coordinated than from individual utility approaches.
Enhabit has a unique ability to offer vertical integration of customer needs with funder needs – connecting organizations and moving behind the scenes to get things done.
One of Enhabit’s key strengths is the wrap-around services they provide to help homeowners move through a process of home energy upgrades and other improvements like seismic retrofits or radon testing.
